  1. 21. Studies on anti-dsDNA Antibodies and other potential biomarkers in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

    Författare :Michele Compagno; Reumatologi och molekylär skelettbiologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Anti-dsDNA antibodies Biomarkers Osteopontin S100A8 A9 LE-cells Diagnostic accuracy Longitudinal study Multicentre study;

    Sammanfattning : Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is characterized by chronic inflammation involving many organ systems. The etiology is unknown and the pathogenesis has not been fully elucidated. Impairments of the immune system and of the mechanisms regulating cell death are commonly seen in SLE patients. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Cartilage destruction - Release of type IX collagen in joint disease

    Författare :Mikael Danfelter; Reumatologi och molekylär skelettbiologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; cartilage destruction; matrix metalloproteinase 13; ECM; assay; neoepitope; NC4 domain; Type IX collagen; fragment;

    Sammanfattning : Cartilage is of vital importance for the function of joints. It is characterized by a prominent extracellular matrix (ECM) that is produced and maintained by relatively few cells of one type, the chondrocyte. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Measure for measure. Outcome assessment of arthritis treatment in clinical practice

    Författare :Anders Gülfe; Reumatologi och molekylär skelettbiologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; TNF blockade; rheumatoid arthritis; utility; treatment continuation; agreement; health related quality of life; Outcome; response; psoriatic arthritis; spondyloarthritis; disease activity; observational study;

    Sammanfattning : Objective: To investigate (i) the performance and agreement between various activity indices and response criteria in TNF-blockade of RA; (ii) the predictive ability of different response criteria and disease activity states regarding continuation of anti-TNF treatment of RA; (iii) Euro-QoL-5-dimensions utility development during TNF blockade of RA, PsA and SpA. Also, (iv) to develop a simple, utility-based outcome measure, the number needed to treat per quality adjusted life year gained (NNQ) and apply it in RA, PsA and SpA patients on anti-TNF treatment. 4. 24. Prevalence, physical activity and work in patients with spondyloarthritis

    Författare :Emma Haglund; Reumatologi och molekylär skelettbiologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Spondyloarthritis; ankylosing spondylitis; psoriatic arthritis; undifferentiated spondyloarthritis; prevalence; physical activity; work productivity; presenteeism; absenteeism; patient-reported outcomes;

    Sammanfattning : Spondyloarthritis (SpA) is a group of interrelated inflammatory rheumatic diseases with the sub-diagnoses ankylosing spondylitis (AS), psoriatic arthritis (PsA), arthritis-associated inflammatory bowel disease (Aa-IBD), undifferentiated SpA (USpA), where stiffness and pain are key symptoms. Insidious onset back pain, morning stiffness, waking up at night, and improvement from exercise are common characteristics. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Anti-TNF treatment of chronic arthritis in clinical practice. New assessment method and predictors of efficacy and tolerability

    Författare :Lars Erik Kristensen; Reumatologi och molekylär skelettbiologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; response; drug survival; psoriatic arthritis; Arthritis; rheumatoid arthritis; adverse events; TNF antagonists;

    Sammanfattning : Abstract Treatment of chronic inflammatory arthritis has undergone major changes over the past years following introduction of targeted biological therapies. Tumour necrosis factor (TNF) blocking therapy has been the most important biological treatment of chronic arthritis to date. LÄS MER
