Lignin is one major component, present as a dissolved organic compound, in black liquor, which is a by-product in the alkaline pulping of wood.    Sammanfattning : Kraft pulping is the dominant pulping process used in the world today. The material efficiency in modern kraft pulp mills is, however, only 40−55% and the final product consists mainly of cellulose.
