The structure of the pneumococcal common antigen, C-polysaccharide, from a non-capsulated pneumococcal strain, CSR SCS2, is described and the structure of the C-polysaccharide associated with pneumococcal types 18B, 32F, and 32A.     Sammanfattning : Chlomethiazole (CMZ) exerts neuroprotective effects in animal models of stroke, and its clinical efficacy is currently evaluated in acute stroke patients. CMZ also protects the liver from alcohol- induced oxidative damage by inhibiting the cytochrome P450 2E1 (CYP2E1), as well as inflammation associated with alcohol liver disease (ALD) by inhibiting cytokine expression.
