    Författare :Ranjan Saha; Torsten Fransson; Jens Fridh; Tony Arts; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; gas turbine; aerodynamics; secondary flow; external cooling; trailing edge cooling; film cooling; aerodynamic loss; high pressure turbine; nozzle guide vane; Aerospace Engineering; Flyg- och rymdteknik; Energiteknik; Energy Technology;

    Sammanfattning : Efficiency improvement in turbomachines is an important aspect in reducing the use of fossil-based fuel and thereby reducing carbon dioxide emissions in order to achieve a sustainable future. Gas turbines are mainly fossil-based turbomachines powering aviation and land-based power plants. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Differently charged polypeptides and their impact on peritoneal and pleural postoperative adhesion formation

    Författare :Daniel Åkerberg; Lund Kirurgi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; peritoneal; pleural adhesions; female infertility; pain; Abdominal adhesions; small bowel obstructions; pleural; resolving process and key substances;

    Sammanfattning : Organization LUND UNIVERSITY Department of Surgery, Clinical Sciences Skånes University Hospital Lund SE-221 85 Lund Sweden Document name DOCTORAL DISSERTATION Date of issue: November 8, 2013 Author(s): Daniel Åkerberg Sponsoring organization Title and subtitle: Differently charged polypeptides and their impact on peritoneal and pleural postoperative adhesion formation Abstract: Abdominal adhesions are formed after previous peritoneal traumas where previous surgery poses the most frequent cause. An increasing number of clinical complications due to adhesions have been detected such as small bowel obstructions, female infertility, and pain. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Decentring Criminal Law : Understandings of Justice by Victim-Survivors of Sexual Violence and their Implications for Different Justice Strategies

    Författare :Hildur Fjola Antonsdottir; Rättssociologiska institutionen; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Sexual violence; victim-survivors; justice; Parity of participation; Nordic law; procedural justice; compensation; space;

    Sammanfattning : The compilation dissertation is shaped by the ambition of Critical Theory, which is to imagine an alternative and emancipatory political reality to the status quo, where people who have been subjected to sexual violence are recognised and enjoy parity of participation in social life. More specifically, it aims to understand how victim-survivors of sexual violence in Iceland perceive, experience, and understand justice; and how, in a Nordic socio-legal context, this knowledge can be used to expand and develop strategies which are capable of meeting the justice interests of victim-survivors within and outside of the criminal justice system. Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the combination of electrochromatography and molecular imprinting technology. Electrochromatography is characterised by high separation efficiency, simple instrumentation, and minute consumption of sample. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Expression and Function of Human and Plant Aquaporins

    Författare :Maria Agemark; Biokemi och Strukturbiologi; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; aquaporin; water channel; overexpression; Pichia pastoris; AQP8; AQP5; SoPIP2; 1;

    Sammanfattning : The aquaporins (AQPs) belong to a family of water permeable membrane channels found in virtually all living organisms. Thirteen isoforms of mammalian AQPs are found, whereas in Arabidopsis thaliana 35 genes encoding AQPs are found. The AQPs are distributed in different organs, cell types and in different subcellular membranes. LÄS MER
