  1. 41. National Energy System Modelling for Supporting Energy and Climate Policy Decision-making: The Case of Sweden

    Författare :Anna Cecilia Krook Riekkola; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; climate policy; district heating; TIMES-Sweden; ancillary benefits; energy system models; cross-border trade; energy-economics; soft-linking.; CHP; system analysis; Energy Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Energy system models can contribute in evaluating impacts of energy and climate policies. The process of working with energy system models assists the understanding of the quantita-tive relationships between different parts of the energy system and between different time periods, under various assumptions. 3. 43. Climate Change Policy of Bio-Energy: A Computable General Equilibrium Analysis

    Författare :Rahimaisa Abdula; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; bio-energy; climate change policy; land-use change; and computable general equilibrium;

    Sammanfattning : This paper explores the intersectoral and land-use dynamics behind bio-energy??s development as a climate change policy. Bio-energy from agriculture and forestry can potentially mitigate the emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) from energy use and land-use changes (LUC) by its substitution to fossil fuels and its diversion of land-use to biomass plantation. 4. 44. The economics of residual waste : policies, price discrimination, and welfare

    Författare :Sef Meens-Eriksson; David Granlund; Runar Brännlund; Thomas Broberg; Raymond Gradus; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Waste economics; net social cost analysis; waste incineration; municipal waste policy; waste taxes; price discrimination; spatial competition; welfare effects; Economics; nationalekonomi;

    Sammanfattning : Paper [I]: In this study, a net social cost framework is applied to provide insights on policy issues relating to the cross-border trade in waste fuel. We estimate the net social cost of using imported waste fuel in a highly efficient combined heat and power plant (CHP) in a cold climate by considering both private costs and benefits as well as external costs related to energy production, alternative waste management and fuel transport.     Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; political science; climate policy; environmental politics; quantitative research; Statskunskap; Political Science;

    Sammanfattning : Climate change is a global threat that requires policy action on all levels of governance. The 2015 Paris Agreement opened a new era of governance, entailing a shift away from the top-down approach embodied by the 1997 Kyoto Protocol. LÄS MER
