1. Trauma, Posttraumatic Stress and Dissociation Among Swedish Adolescents : Evaluation of Questionnaires
Sammanfattning : The main aim of this thesis has been to investigate trauma and dissociation among Swedish adolescents and to evaluate the psychometric properties such as reliability and various kinds of validity of three screening instruments for assessment of dissociation and other symptoms of post traumatic stress. The three instruments in question have been Dis-Q-Sweden, A-DES and TSCC, the symptoms measured by these instruments are neither easy to capture nor easy for the adolescent to talk about. LÄS MER

Sammanfattning : The Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Adrenal axis (HPA-axis) with its end product cortisol mediates the physiological response to stress thereby promoting mobilization of energy. The cortisol levels follow a diurnal rhythm with a distinct awakening response. LÄS MER

5. Street Working Children in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq followed over 16 years : Mental Health and Traumatization
Sammanfattning : The overall aims of the research this thesis is based upon were to assess mental disorders and trauma experiences of street working boys in Duhok (in the Kurdistan region of Iraq), compare them with schoolboys of the same community, follow the street working boys into adulthood, and examine the continuity of mental disorders, as well as their adult perspectives on their previous street work.A group of 100 street working boys was examined in 2004–2005, and 40 of the same group (as adults) in 2021.
