21. Electron-nuclear Dynamics in Nonlinear Optics and X-ray spectroscopy
Sammanfattning : This thesis is devoted to theoretical studies of the role of nuclear vibrations on nonlinear and linear absorption, pulse propagation, and resonant scattering of light. Sammanfattning : The electronic and geometrical structure of free neutral clusters and liquids have been studied using synchrotron-radiation based photoelectron and Auger electron spectroscopy in combination with lineshape modeling. 23. Dissociation dynamics of highly excited molecules: Theory and Experiment
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents studies on dissociation of two model molecules: Butadiene and Cyclopropane. Tunable synchrotron radiation was used to ionize or excite the molecules in the gas phase, and the momentum correlation of the resulting fragment ions were measured using a 3D momenta coincident ion spectroscopy. 24. Resonant and Non-Resonant Electron Spectroscopy of Free Molecules and Free Clusters
Sammanfattning : Resonant electron spectroscopy has been performed on the diatomic molecules CO, N2 and HCl. Core-excitations were made to bound and dissociative intermediate electronic states. Fundamental interference phenomena are observed and discussed in the framework of ”X-ray Raman Scattering Theory”. LÄS MER
