    Sammanfattning : As we celebrate all the dynamic and dramatic improvements in human health care in the 21st century, life in much of Africa begins with and is sustained with the support of traditional medicinal knowledge. Research on traditional medicinal knowledge (TMK) is extensive, but rather few studies have been written about Traditional Healers' (THs') own perceptions about TMK and practices in relation to changing societal dynamics.     Sammanfattning : Background: Research shows that migrant children, and especially refugee migrant children, are at increased risk of poor mental health. Given that mental disorders are the leading cause of disability among children and youth globally, and that many children and adolescents with mental disorders do not reach services for their mental health conditions, research into utilization among potentially vulnerable groups is much needed.     Sammanfattning : This thesis presents perspectives of men regarding abortion, contraceptive use and sexuality. Contrary to what we had expected, men expressed anxiety over abortion and contraceptive use, not because the issues concerned women’s health, but rather because men associated them with extramarital sexual activity they thought women were concealing.
