  1. 1. Using Molecular Dynamics Simulations to Explore Critical Property Relationships in Polymer Electrolytes : Polarity, Coordination, Ionic transport, Ion-pairing, and Ion-ion Correlations

    Författare :Harish Gudla; Daniel Brandell; Chao Zhang; Andreas Heuer; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Solid polymer electrolytes; molecular dynamics simulations; solvent polarity; ion-pairing; ion coordination; ion transport mechanisms; Kemi med inriktning mot materialkemi; Chemistry with specialization in Materials Chemistry; Kemi med inriktning mot materialkemi; Chemistry with specialization in Materials Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : While ion transport in solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs) has been explored for decades, there still remains controversies about its fundamental properties, often correlated with gaps between experimental and computational studies. Using molecular dynamics simulations to understand the complex transport mechanisms and also to fill these gaps is the main goal of this thesis. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Singlet Fission - The Effects of Solvent Polarity and Conformation

    Författare :Rasmus Ringström; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Singlet fission; rotational conformation; photoinduced electron transfer; transient absorption;

    Sammanfattning : Singlet fission (SF) is a process in which one initial high energy singlet excited state is converted into two triplet excited states of roughly half the energy of the initial state. This process has the potential to increase the efficiency of conventional solar cells by modifying the energy of the incident solar radiation to better match the energy input required to generate electricity. 3. 3. The influence of solvent composition on crystal agglomeration of paracetamol

    Författare :Eva Ålander; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :paracetamol; solvent composition; agglomeration; image analysis; principal component analysis; agglomerate strength; interfacial energy;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the influence of solvent compositionon crystal agglomeration of paracetamol. Much work has beendone on characterisation of the crystalline product.Interfacial energies have also been determined for large singlegrown crystals. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : In this work, the solubility of butyl paraben in 7 pure solvents and in 5 different ethanol-water mixtures has been determined from 1 ˚C to 50 ˚C. The solubility of ethyl paraben and propyl paraben in various solvents has been determined at 10 ˚C. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Influence of Solvent Composition on Crystal Agglomeration of Paracetamol

    Författare :Eva Ålander; Åke Rasmuson; Jean-Paul Klein; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Chemical engineering; Kemiteknik; Chemical engineering; Kemiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Agglomeration is an important phenomenon which often controls the particle size distribution and morphology in the crystallization of organic compounds. In this thesis the influence of solvent composition on crystal agglomeration of paracetamol is investigated. LÄS MER
