  1. 1. Single and Accumulative Electron Transfer – Prerequisites for Artificial Photosynthesis

    Författare :Susanne Karlsson; Leif Hammarström; Hans-Christian Becker; Devens Gust; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Artificial photosynthesis; Photoinduced charge separation; Electron transfer; Energy transfer; Accumulative electon transfer; Donor-acceptor; Ruthenium; Linear arrays; Chemical physics; Kemisk fysik; Kemi med inriktning mot kemisk fysik; Chemistry with specialization in Chemical Physics;

    Sammanfattning : Photoinduced electron transfer is involved in a number of photochemical and photobiological processes. One example of this is photosynthesis, where the absorption of sunlight leads to the formation of charge-separated states by electron transfer. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Photoinduced Electron and Energy Transfer in Π-Conjugated Systems

    Författare :Melina Gilbert Gatty; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; fs spectroscopy; exciton coupling; conjugated porphyrin oligomers; ps spectroscopy; molecular wire; electron transfer; conformational analysis; self‒assembly; anthracene dendrimers; energy transfer; fluorescence anisotropy;

    Sammanfattning : Photosynthesis is a fascinating process that provides food and oxygen. In this thesis, focus is on understanding and controlling the early processes of photosynthesis, namely photoinduced energy and electron transfer. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Photoinduced Electron Transfer in Luminescent Lanthanide Complexes

    Författare :Daniel Kovacs; Eszter Borbas; Stephen Faulkner; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Lanthanide; Luminescence; Photoinduced electron transfer; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Luminescence from the trivalent lanthanides is used for detection in biological systems. Lanthanide luminescence is usually sensitized by a light-harvesting organic chromophore (’antenna’). An ideal emitter has an antenna that efficiently transfers energy to the lanthanide, and a ligand that shields the metal from quenching solvent molecules. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Synthesis and Photoinduced Electron Transfer of Donor-Sensitizer-Acceptor Systems

    Författare :Yunhua Xu; Licheng Sun; Björn Åkermark; Jean-Pierre Sauvage; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Artificial photosynthesis; Dye-sensitized solar cells; Electron donors; Dinuclear ruthenium complexes; Electron transfer; Organic chemistry; Organisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Artificial systems involving water oxidation and solar cells are promising ways for the conversion of solar energy into fuels and electricity. These systems usually consist of a photosensitizer, an electron donor and / or an electron acceptor. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Compounds with Non-Buttressed Metal-Metal Bond between Platinum and Thallium. Model Systems for Photoinduced Two-Electron-Transfer

    Författare :Mikhail Maliarik; KTH; []

    Sammanfattning : A new family of oligonuclear cyano compounds incorporatingtransition (Pt) and main group (Tl) metals bound with anon-buttressed Pt-Tl bond was synthesised in aqueous solution.The metal-metal linkage is formed in the reaction betweenplatinum and thallium in their stable oxidation forms, Pt(II)and Tl(III), orvice versa: Pt(IV) and Tl(I).
