1. Bergman space methods and integral means spectra of univalent functions
Sammanfattning : We study universal integral means spectra of certain classes of univalent functions defined on subsets of the complex plane. After reformulating the definition of the integral means spectrum of a univalent function in terms of membership in weighted Bergman spaces, we describe the Hilbert space techniques that can be used to estimate universal means spectra from above. 2. Conformal Maps, Bergman Spaces, and Random Growth Models
Sammanfattning : This thesis consists of an introduction and five research papers on topics related to conformal mapping, the Loewner equation and its applications, and Bergman-type spaces of holomorphic functions. The first two papers are devoted to the study of integral means of derivatives of conformal mappings. LÄS MER
3. Hantaviruses, escapees from the death row : viral mechanisms towards apoptosis resistance
Sammanfattning : Over the past decades, humanity has witnessed a constant stream of emerging pathogenic RNA viruses. The recurrent outbreaks of Ebola virus in Africa, the emergence of West Nile virus in North America and the sporadic but constant outbreaks of hantaviruses and arenaviruses are some examples of current public health concerns. 4. På väg mot jämställda arbetsresor? : Vardagens mobilitet i förändring och förhandling
Sammanfattning : In Swedish regional policy, regional enlargement, i.e. geographically extended labour markets and associated longer commuting distances, is an explicit goal. This is in order to stimulate economic growth and better match labour supply to the qualifications of the population. LÄS MER
5. Vägen till jobbet : Om kvinnors och mäns arbetsresor i förändring
Sammanfattning : Equal access to work is a central dimension of welfare and the starting point for this study. From a geographical point of view this highlights issues of gender-related differences in distance and travel between home and work. Also, in Swedish regional planning and policy, the key concept of regional enlargement (i.e. LÄS MER
