6. Mineralogical, chemical and textural properties of the Malmberget iron deposit : a process mineralogically characterisation
Sammanfattning : This thesis combine two different but closely connected disciplines in a mining process to each other, ore geology and process mineralogy by studying mineralogical-textural features of the ore and the ore concentrate in an apatite iron ore deposit in Malmberget, Sweden. Apatite iron ore deposits (Kiruna type) exist in a few places around the world and the two most important deposits are mined by LKAB at Kiruna and Malmberget. LÄS MER
7. Terahertz sensing for non-destructive characterisation of pharmaceutical tablets
Sammanfattning : The pharmaceutical industry is shifting from conventional batch manufacturing to continuous manufacturing. To realise continuous manufacturing, it is crucial to assess the product quality of tablets at different stages of the production line. LÄS MER
8. Food Web Ecology -- individual life-histories and ecological processes shape complex communities
Sammanfattning : This thesis sets out a food web framework for size-structured populations. The framework enables an ecological approach to food web modelling as the individual life-history from birth, through maturation, and ultimately death is explicitly resolved with the use of bioenergetics based on individual body size. 9. Nanocellulose for Biomedical Applications : Modification, Characterisation and Biocompatibility Studies
Sammanfattning : In the past decade there has been increasing interest in exploring the use of nanocellulose in medicine. However, the influence of the physicochemical properties of nanocellulose on the material´s biocompatibility has not been fully investigated. LÄS MER
10. Optical Characterisation of Miniature Structures and Translucent Sheets for Daylighting Applications
Sammanfattning : For a long time spectrophotometry has been a powerful method of determining optical material properties. Since the technique measures the parameters of interest, reflectance and transmittance, it is in general easy to use and interpret. LÄS MER
