6. Control Aspects of Complex Hydromechanical Transmissions : with a Focus on Displacement Control
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with control aspects of complex hydromechanical transmissions. The overall purpose is to increase the knowledge of important aspects to consider during the development of hydromechanical transmissions to ensure transmission functionality. LÄS MER
7. Saving Energy in Construction Machinery using Displacement Control Hydraulics : Concept Realization and Validation
Sammanfattning : In the sector of mobile hydraulics, valve controlled systems are predominant. In these systems the load force and speed are adjusted by control valves. In machines where multiple drives are used in parallel at extremely varying loads the energy efficiency of such systems is often compromised over large working regions. LÄS MER
8. A Never-Ending Thirst: Artistic Reforms to Neoliberal-Teflon Imperviousness
Sammanfattning : This text is the dissertation element of my artistic research project, A Never-Ending Thirst: Artistic Reforms to Neoliberal-Teflon Imperviousness, developed within the doctoral studies program at HDK-Valand—the Academy of Art and Design, University of Gothenburg (2016-2021). Along with documentation of twelve artistic projects that support my practice-based inquiry, this text is submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirement for the Degree of Doctor in the Fine, Applied, and Performing Arts. 9. Design of Electro-Hydraulic Energy Converters : With Focus on Integrated Designs and Valve Plate Rotation
Sammanfattning : In mobile working machines, there is a trend towards replacing combustion engines by electric machines to reduce their carbon footprint. This provides several advantages and challenges for the hydraulic system. The low efficiency of conventional hydraulic systems is no longer acceptable due to the volume and cost of batteries. LÄS MER
10. Design of Thermoelectric Generators for Automotive EGR Applications
Sammanfattning : Rising energy prices and greater environmental awareness along with stringent emissions legislation in the automotive industry make it possible to introduce techniques in the aftertreatment system that have previously been unprofitable. One such technique, studied in this work, is heat recovery in the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler using thermoelectric generators (TEG). LÄS MER
