36. Detailed photoemission studies of the prototype diluted magnetic semiconductor (Ga,Mn)As
Sammanfattning : Magnetic semiconductors are materials that combine the key features needed in information technology, namely magnetism and controllable charge transport. The prospects of integrating these properties and of using the spin as informa-tion carrier have motivated large efforts to produce such materials for imple-mentation in future spin-based electronics. 38. Scanning tunneling microscopy and photoemission studies of Ag films on metal/semiconductor surfaces
Sammanfattning : The research presented in this thesis has been focused on the study of thin Ag films, grown on metal-reconstructed Si(111) and Ge(111) surfaces. The films have been grown at room temperature, and the morphologiesand electronic structures of the films have been investigated using scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy (STM/STS), low-energy electron diffraction (LEED) and angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy(ARPES). 39. Metal-Organic Complexes at Surfaces
Sammanfattning : The adsorption of different metal-organic complexes at surfaces was investigated by spectroscopic techniques (x-ray photoemission spectroscopy, x-ray absorption spectroscopy, resonant photoemission spectroscopy) and by scanning tunnelling microscopy. The investigation methods are able to provide atomic scale information on the studied systems, which moreover originates from the top-most atomic layers in a sample, meaning that they are surface sensitive techniques. 40. Electron Wave Packet Dynamics on the Attosecond Time Scale
Sammanfattning : One objective of attosecond science is to study electron dynamics in atoms and molecular systems on their natural time scale. This can be done using attosecond light pulses. LÄS MER
