  1. 21. Staging urban emergence through collective creativity: Devising an outdoor mobile augmented reality tool

    Författare :Hyekyung Imottesjo; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Urban Rules; Emergent processes; outdoor mobile augmented reality; Compact city; Complex adaptive systems; Urban resilience; collaborative design; research-through-design;

    Sammanfattning : The unpredictability of global geopolitical conflicts, economic trends, and impacts of climate change, coupled with an increasing urban population, necessitates a more profound commitment to resilience thinking in urban planning and design. In contrast to top-down planning and designing for sustainability, allowing for emergence to take place seems to contribute to a capacity to better deal with this complex unpredictability, by allowing incremental changes through bottom-up, self-organized adaptation made by diverse actors in the proximity of various social, economical and functional entities in the urban context. 2. 22. Agile, Resilient and Cost-efficient Mobile Backhaul Networks

    Författare :Forough Yaghoubi; Lena Wosinska; Marija Furdek; Jiajia Chen; Amitava Mukherjee; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; 5G; software defined networking; rain disturbance; technoeconomic framework; network consistency.; Informations- och kommunikationsteknik; Information and Communication Technology;

    Sammanfattning : The exponentially increasing traffic demand for mobile services requires innovative solutions in both access and backhaul segments of 5th generation (5G) mobile networks. Although, heterogeneous networks (HetNets) are a promising solution for the wireless access, the backhaul segment has received considerably less attention and falls short in meeting the stringent requirements of 5G in terms of capacity and availability. 3. 23. Agile, Resilient and Cost-efficient Mobile Backhaul Networks : Fundamentals of Network Design and Adaptation

    Författare :Forough Yaghoubi; Marija Furdek; Lena Wosinska; Dipak Ghosal; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :5G; topology design and control; software defined networking; rain disturbance; techno-economic framework; network consistency.; Informations- och kommunikationsteknik; Information and Communication Technology;

    Sammanfattning : The exponentially increasing traffic demand for mobile services requires innovative solutions in both access and backhaul segments of 5th generation (5G) mobile networks. Whilst substantial research efforts address the access segment, the backhaul part has received less attention and still falls short in meeting the stringent requirements of 5G in terms of capacity and availability. 4. 24. Performance modelling and simulation of the Mobile Cloud Network

    Författare :William Tärneberg; Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : The Mobile Cloud Network is an emerging distributed cloud infrastructure paradigm that attempts to accommodate the evolution of application’s execution paradigms and how content is distributed. The Mobile Cloud Network employs a distributed cloud infrastructure with data centres of varying capacity, embedded in the core and access networks. LÄS MER

  5. 25. On Cooperative Communications and Its Application to Mobile Multimedia

    Författare :Quang Trung Duong; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : With the rapid growth of multimedia services, future generations of wireless communications require higher data rates and a more reliable transmission link while keeping satisfactory quality of service. In this respect, multipleinput multiple-output (MIMO) antenna systems have been considered as an efficient approach to address these demands by offering significant multiplexing and diversity gains over single-antenna systems without increasing requirements on radio resources such as bandwidth and power.
