11. Fundamentals of NH3-SCR and SOx chemistry over copper zeolite for the control of NOx and greenhouse gas (N2O) emissions
Sammanfattning : The release of N2O over Cu-zeolite was investigated due to the critical contribution it makes to the atmosphere as one of the greenhouse gases (GHGs). An exhaust after-treatment system (EATS) for heavy-duty vehicles that uses Cu/SSZ-13 as the selective catalyst reduction (SCR) catalyst experiences not only a variety of flow, temperature and chemical conditions but is also exposed to various resulting contaminants. 12. Component and system design of a mild hybrid 48 V powertrain for a light vehicle
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents contributions in three areas relevant for the development of 48 V mild hybrid electric powertrains for cars. The first part comprises methodologies and extensive testing of lithium-ion battery cells in order to establish the electric and thermal performance using equivalent circuit models. LÄS MER
13. Transportation Mission-Based Optimization of Heavy Combination Road Vehicles and Distributed Propulsion, Including Predictive Energy and Motion Control
Sammanfattning : This thesis proposes methodologies to improve heavy vehicle design by reducing the total cost of ownership and by increasing energy efficiency and safety. Environmental issues, consumers expectations and the growing demand for freight transport have created a competitive environment in providing better transportation solutions. LÄS MER
14. Control Aspects of Complex Hydromechanical Transmissions : with a Focus on Displacement Control
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with control aspects of complex hydromechanical transmissions. The overall purpose is to increase the knowledge of important aspects to consider during the development of hydromechanical transmissions to ensure transmission functionality. LÄS MER
15. Prediction horizon requirement in control and extreme load analyses for survivability : Advancements to improve the performance of wave energy technologies
Sammanfattning : The main objective of wave energy converters (WECs) is to ensure reliable electricity production at a competitive cost. Two challenges to achieving this are ensuring an efficient energy conversion and offshore survivability. LÄS MER
