  1. 26. Theoretical studies of the coupling between electronic, vibrational, configurational and structural effects in metal borides

    Författare :Erik Johansson; Björn Alling; Johanna Rosén; Paul Erhart; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses theoretical studies of the coupling between electronic, vibrational, configurational and structural degrees of freedom in metal borides. The effect of external conditions of temperature, pressure and composition on the interplay between internal degrees of freedom is investigated. LÄS MER

  2. 27. Heterogeneity in Car Occupant Safety

    Författare :Alexandros Leledakis; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Real-world safety; Human Body Model; Occupant posture; Crash Configurations; Anthropometric variation; Finite element; Sensitivity analysis; Individualised Restraint Systems; Vehicle safety assessment; Seat adjustment;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis ultimately aims to enhance occupant protection by incorporating aspects of real-world crash heterogeneity, often overlooked within current safety assessments. By investigating the effects of crash heterogeneity and broadening the comprehensiveness of occupant safety assessments, it seeks to support the development of more effective future vehicle safety systems. 3. 28. Investigation of the structural response of pavements in cold region using instrumented test site data

    Författare :Denis Saliko; Sigurdur Erlingsson; Pauli Kolisoja; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; flexible pavement; environmental impact; seasonal variation; heavy loading; non-destructive testing; instrumented section; Flexibla vägkonstruktioner; Omgivningspåverkan; Säsongvariation; Tung trafikbelastning; Oförstörande provning; Instrumenterade teststräckor; Byggvetenskap; Civil and Architectural Engineering; Building Materials; Byggnadsmaterial;

    Sammanfattning : The structural behaviour of pavement structures is known to be affected by the traffic-related loading and by the ambient factors to which the structure is subjected. A new mechanistic-empirical (M-E) pavement design method is under development in Sweden with the main purpose to adequately predict pavement structural response and performance. LÄS MER
