  1. 16. 3D printing of Green Water Purification Filters : Design towards Sustainable and Scalable Biocomposite Materials

    Författare :Natalia Fijoł; Aji P. Mathew; Lennart Bergström; Alexander Bismarck; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; 3D printing; water treatment; polylactic acid; nanocellulose; nanochitin; hydroxyapatite; green metal-organic frameworks; materialkemi; Materials Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : The globally escalating water pollution and water scarcity necessitates the development of efficient and sustainable water treatment technologies. This thesis investigates the feasibility of utilizing renewable and waste materials in the form of green composites for the fabrication of water purification filters via Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM). 2. 17. Uncertainties in rainfall-runoff modelling of green urban drainage systems : Measurements, data selection and model structure

    Författare :Ico Broekhuizen; Maria Viklander; Günther Leonhardt; Manfred Kleidorfer; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; VA-teknik; Urban Water Engineering; Centre - Centre for Stormwater Management DRIZZLE ; Centrumbildning - Centrum för dagvattenhantering DRIZZLE ;

    Sammanfattning : Green urban drainage systems are used to avoid flooding and damages to people and property, while limiting the downstream flooding and water quality problems caused by pipe-based drainage systems. Computer models are used to analyse and predict the performance of such systems for design and operation purposes. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Climate and geographical influence on the performance of infiltration-based facilities for managing runoff – Temporal and spatial variability

    Författare :Ivan Mantilla; Maria Viklander; Tone Merete Muthanna; Kelsey Flanagan; Vegard Nielsen; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Green infrastructure; hydrological performance; infiltration capacity; climatic pattern; saturated hydraulic conductivity; VA-teknik; Urban Water Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Climate change is expected to lead to more intense and severe rainfall events in the future, significantly increasing the risk of urban flooding. This change, characterized by spatial and temporal shifts in precipitation patterns, presents a challenge to the capacity of existing urban drainage systems, which may lead to higher runoff volumes than they were initially designed to handle. 4. 19. Urban, pluvial flooding : Blue-green infrastructure as a strategy for resilience

    Författare :Johanna Sörensen; Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresurslära; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; urbanhydrologi; pluviala översvämningar; resiliens; blå-grön infrastruktur; socio-teknisk förändring; Urban hydrology; Pluvial flooding; Resilience; Blue-green infrastructure; socio-technical transition;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates urban, pluvial flooding and if blue-green infrastructure, for handling of stormwater in urban green spaces, can be used as a strategy for resilient flood risk management. Spatial analyses of flood claims from insurance companies and the water utility company of Malmö are used to better understand the mechanisms and characteristics of pluvial flooding and how blue-green infrastructure impacts flood risk. 5. 20. Efficient Management of Water Utilities : Sustainability Analysis of Swedish Performance

    Författare :Nasik Najar; Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresurslära; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Sustainability index; reinvestment; facilities status; climate adaptation and flood security; ; water utility in Sweden;

    Sammanfattning : In Sweden, a sustainability index (SI) has been used since 2014 as an internal benchmark management tool to analyse and steer municipal water and wastewater (WW) activities toward sustainability. A consistent trend in national results from SI across all years is that while day-to-day operations are working well, there are deficiencies in strategies for long-term planning. LÄS MER
