  1. 11. Cognition and activity early after stroke

    Författare :Tamar Abzhandadze; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Acute stroke; Activities of Daily Living; Cognition; Function; Functional cognition; Dependency; Global disability; Prediction; Screening; Assessment; Stroke unit; Registries; Ischemic stroke; Intracerebral hemorrhage; Occupational therapy; Rehabilitation;

    Sammanfattning : Introduction and aims: Cognitive impairment and dependency in activities of daily living (ADL) are common consequences of stroke. Due to a decrease in the length of hospital stay, assessment of these conditions has become necessary for the planning of discharge and rehabilitation. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Rehabilitation and Evaluation after Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury : Function, Stability and Postural Control

    Författare :Marketta Henriksson (Lysholm); Gunnar Németh; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Sammanfattning : Traditionally, the success of treatment after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury has been judged from the recovery of muscle strength and knee range of motion (ROM), but also from the static knee stability after ACL reconstruction. However, since the sensory role of the ACL and surrounding tissues for the functional stability of the knee has been documented, the measurement of proprioceptive function related to knee stability is likely to become important in this evaluation. 3. 13. Diabetes in Young Adults : Remission, β-cell function and markers of inflammation

    Författare :Anna Schölin; Elisabeth Björk; Anders Karlsson; Jan Åman; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Internal medicine; type 1 diabetes; young adults; remission; β-cell function; islet antibodies; gender; CRP; Invärtesmedicin; Internal medicine; Invärtesmedicin; Internal Medicine; invärtesmedicin;

    Sammanfattning : Type 1 diabetes is caused by immuno-mediated β-cell destruction leading to insulin deficiency and hyperglycaemia. The decline in β-cell function and the clinical course after diagnosis vary. Whether the process of destruction of the β-cells is associated with markers of a non-specific inflammatory response is unknown. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Continuous-time System Identification : Refined Instrumental Variables and Sampling Assumptions

    Författare :Rodrigo A. González; Cristian R. Rojas; Marion Gilson-Bagrel; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; System identification; Continuous-time systems; Refined instrumental variables; band-limited signals; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Continuous-time system identification deals with the problem of building continuous-time models of dynamical systems from sampled input and output data. There are two main approaches in this field: indirect and direct. In the indirect approach, a suitable discrete-time model is first determined, and then it is transformed into continuous-time. 5. 15. Cardiac Function and Aortic Valve Intervention : Echocardiographic Studies of Myocardial Recovery in Patients with Severe Aortic Valve Disease

    Författare :Lena Forsberg; Eva Nylander; Éva Tamás; Odd Bech-Hanssen; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : In patients with severe aortic valve disease, aortic valve intervention is performed when the risk for mortality or morbidity with conservative management is significantly increased. Left ventricular (LV) longitudinal motion decreases before conventional echocardiographic measures such as ejection fraction, are influenced in patients with severe aortic valve disease. LÄS MER
