26. Effects of habitat structure on tropical fish assemblages
Sammanfattning : Rates of habitat alteration and degradation are increasing worldwide due to anthropogenic influence. On coral reefs, the loss of live coral reduces structural complexity while facilitating algal increase. In many coastal lagoons seagrass and corals are cleared to make room for cultivated macroalgae. 27. Structure and function of the yeast mediator tail domain
Sammanfattning : Mediator is a co-regulator complex that transduces regulatory information from activators and repressors to the RNA polymerase 11 transcription machinery. Mediator was originally discovered in Saccharomyces cerevisiae and since then Mediator-like complexes have been isolated in a number of organisms including mammals. S. LÄS MER
28. Structure and function of microsomal prostaglandin E synthase-1
Sammanfattning : The glutathione-dependent enzyme microsomal prostaglandin E synthase-1 (MPGES1) plays a pivotal role in inflammatory diseases. MPGES1 is up-regulated by pro-inflammatory cytokines in concert with cyclooxygenase (COX) -2, and the concerted action of both enzymes leads to the production of induced prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), a potent lipid mediator of inflammation, pain, and fever. 29. Symbolic Methods and Tools for Discrete Event Dynamic Systems
Sammanfattning : The interest in Discrete Event Dynamic Systems (DEDS) has increased during the last years, due to the lack of methods and tools that are capable of handling the complexity of problems and tasks present in industry today. In this thesis we will consider a framework based on relations over finite domains. LÄS MER
30. On Compositional Approaches for Discrete Event Systems Verification and Synthesis
Sammanfattning : Over the past decades, human dependability on technical devices has rapidly increased. Many activities of such devices can be described by sequences of events, where the occurrence of an event causes the system to go from one state to another. This is elegantly modelled by state machines.
