16. Energy and Route Optimization of Moving Devices
Sammanfattning : This thesis highlights our efforts in energy and route optimization of moving devices. We have focused on three categories of such devices; industrial robots in a multi-robot environment, generic vehicles in a vehicle routing problem (VRP) context, automated guided vehicles (AGVs) in a large-scale flexible manufacturing system (FMS). 17. Nyquist Stability Analysis of a VSC-HVDC System with a Distributed Parameter DC-cable Model
Sammanfattning : Voltage source converter based high voltage direct current (VSC-HVDC) transmission systems have now been in operation since 1997 as it is a reliable and flexible method of power transmission. This thesis focuses on small signal dynamics of such systems, emphasizing stability properties. LÄS MER
18. Channel Estimation in Wireless Communication Systems Employing Multiple Antennas
Sammanfattning : Antennas that are able to adaptively direct the transmitted (and received) energy are of great interest in future wireless communication systems. The directivity implies reduced transmit power and interference, and also a potential for increased capacity. LÄS MER
19. On the robust stability analysis of VSC-HVDC systems
Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on small signal stability analysis of VSC-HVDC systems, emphasizing the system stability robustness with regard to the connected AC-grid and the distributed parameter DC-grid model respectively. In addition, for strong AC-grid connected systems, analytical eigenvalue expressions are provided to investigate the impact of physical or control parameters on the system stability for both two-terminal and multi-terminal VSC-HVDC systems. 20. Distributed Detection and Its Applications with Energy Harvesting Wireless Networks
Sammanfattning : With the advent and widespread applications of high data-rate wireless services and devices, two of the fundamental resources in wireless communication have become extremely important and are scarce. These two resources are bandwidth and energy respectively. LÄS MER
