  1. 6. Analysis of fluoroalkyl sulfonamide (FASA) based copolymers : An indirect source of non-polymeric PFAS

    Författare :Felicia Fredriksson; Leo W. Y. Yeung; Anna Kärrman; Ulrika Eriksson; Robert Letcher; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; PFAS; FASA-based copolymers; fluorine mass balance; EOF; sludge; TF; earthworm; exposure;

    Sammanfattning : Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are an extensive group of anthropogenic compounds and are of global concern due to their negative effects on the environment and humans. Most environmental research reports non-polymeric PFAS, leading to a scarce understanding of polymeric PFAS, despite their large share on the global market. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Bioresorbable copolymers with tailored properies : innovative materials för soft tissuel engineering

    Författare :Natalia Andronova; Ann-Christine Albertsson; Pieter Dijkstra; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; poly 1; 5-dioxepan-2-one ; poly ε-caprolactone ; poly L-lactide ; poly trimethylene carbonate ; triblock; network; cyclic tin alkoxide; controlled coordination-insertion ring-opening polymerization; thermoplastic elastomers; Polymer chemistry; Polymerkemi;

    Sammanfattning : The emerging need for new synthetic materials for soft tissue engineering applications encourages the search for innovative polymers having interesting properties. Ring-opening polymerization of lactones and lactides initiated by tin alkoxides has received particular attention due to the versatility of the method for building up well-defined biodegradable structures. 3. 8. Modification of Surface Properties Through Polymer Adsorption. Kinetics, Interaction, Degradation and Stability

    Författare :Dries Muller; Fysikalisk kemi; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TIRF.; protein; poly lactide ; poly ethylene oxide ; gelatin; exchange; enzyme; ellipsometry; desorption; degradation; adsorption; copolymers; Physical chemistry; Fysikalisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : The interfacial behaviour of polymers in relation to surface modification and polymer degradation was studied. In the first part the interfacial behaviour of amphiphilic poly(ethylene oxide)–poly(D,L-lactide) (EmLn) diblock copolymers at hydrophilic and hydrophobic substrates from aquous solution was studied. 4. 9. Synthesis and Characterization of Functional Polymers Based on Trimethylolpropane Trimethacrylate and Glycidyl Methacrylate

    Författare :Maria Walenius; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; ethylhydroxyethyl cellulose derivative; trimethylolpropane; gels; compression; separation; pore surface; trimethacrylate; Copolymers;

    Sammanfattning : Copolymers of trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate (TRIM) and glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) were prepared with various monomer-to-solvent ratios, GMA to TRIM ratios and with various types of porogens. These parameters affected the inner morphology of the polymers and various pore surface areas (100-500 m2/g) and pore size distributions were obtained. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Macroscopic Volume and Free Volume of Polymer Blends and Pressure-densified Polymers

    Författare :Marcus Schmidt; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; free-volume theories; refractive index; Lorentz-Lorenz equation; loss tangent; Avrami equation; freezing fractions; copolymers; polymer blends; pressure dilatometry; Tait equation of state; free-volume distributions; pressure-densified polymers; entropy of melting; dynamic-mechanical analysis; positronium; positron annihilation; free volume; cavity size; polymers; bulk modulus; PVT; phase separation; compressibility; thermal expansivity;

    Sammanfattning : The macroscopic volume V as a function of pressure P and temperature T is obtained from PVT measurements. PVT data is sensitive to the state of polymers and changes therein. Moreover, PVT data gives access to the free-volume fraction. LÄS MER
