6. Analysis of fluoroalkyl sulfonamide (FASA) based copolymers : An indirect source of non-polymeric PFAS
Sammanfattning : Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are an extensive group of anthropogenic compounds and are of global concern due to their negative effects on the environment and humans. Most environmental research reports non-polymeric PFAS, leading to a scarce understanding of polymeric PFAS, despite their large share on the global market. LÄS MER
7. Bioresorbable copolymers with tailored properies : innovative materials för soft tissuel engineering
Sammanfattning : The emerging need for new synthetic materials for soft tissue engineering applications encourages the search for innovative polymers having interesting properties. Ring-opening polymerization of lactones and lactides initiated by tin alkoxides has received particular attention due to the versatility of the method for building up well-defined biodegradable structures. 8. Modification of Surface Properties Through Polymer Adsorption. Kinetics, Interaction, Degradation and Stability
Sammanfattning : The interfacial behaviour of polymers in relation to surface modification and polymer degradation was studied. In the first part the interfacial behaviour of amphiphilic poly(ethylene oxide)–poly(D,L-lactide) (EmLn) diblock copolymers at hydrophilic and hydrophobic substrates from aquous solution was studied. 9. Synthesis and Characterization of Functional Polymers Based on Trimethylolpropane Trimethacrylate and Glycidyl Methacrylate
Sammanfattning : Copolymers of trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate (TRIM) and glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) were prepared with various monomer-to-solvent ratios, GMA to TRIM ratios and with various types of porogens. These parameters affected the inner morphology of the polymers and various pore surface areas (100-500 m2/g) and pore size distributions were obtained. LÄS MER
10. Macroscopic Volume and Free Volume of Polymer Blends and Pressure-densified Polymers
Sammanfattning : The macroscopic volume V as a function of pressure P and temperature T is obtained from PVT measurements. PVT data is sensitive to the state of polymers and changes therein. Moreover, PVT data gives access to the free-volume fraction. LÄS MER
