31. Mechanical Pulp Based Nano-ligno-cellulose : Production, Characterisation and their Effect on Paper Properties
Sammanfattning : Almost all research on biorefinery concepts are based on chemical pulping processes and ways of utilising lignin, hemicelluloses and extractives as well as a part of the remaining cellulose for production of nano materials in order to create more valuable products than today. Within the Forest as a Resource (FORE) research program at FSCN we are utilising the whole chain of unit processes from forestry to final products as paper and board, where the pulping process research focus on high yield process as TMP and CTMP. 32. On the Interrelation Between Kraft Cooking Conditions and Pulp Composition
Sammanfattning : In the early 1990’s, a lot of work was focused on extending the kraft cook to a low lignin content (low kappa number). The driving force was the need to further reduce the environmental impact of the bleaching, as less delignification work would be needed there. LÄS MER
33. On the oxidation of kraft pulp - Formation of carbonyl groups during acidic hydrogen peroxide oxidation
Sammanfattning : A shift from fossil based to bio based raw material is necessary if the needs of a growing population are to be fulfilled sustainably. Today, the packaging industry is heavily dependent on products originating from fossil feedstocks. LÄS MER
34. Monotonic and Cyclic Plastic Deformation of High-Strength Aluminium Alloys
Sammanfattning : Dynamic strain ageing (DSA) and dynamic precipitation (DP) are two, closely interrelated, phenomena arising from the dynamic interaction between mobile solute atoms and dislocations. The occurrence of DSA and DP is confined to specific ranges of strain rate and temperature, and aluminium alloys are generally prone to experience DSA and DP already at ambient temperatures and conventional strainrates. 35. Composite Columns of Hollow Steel Sections Filled with High Strength Concrete
Sammanfattning : In the design of buildings today, great effort is made to increase the structural flexibility. This has resulted in a demand for columns with reduced cross sections. To achieve a high load bearing capacity with a small cross sectional area, it is worthwhile to study the possibility of utilizing high strength concrete and composite effects. LÄS MER
