  1. 1. Land degradation and mitigation in northern China. Evaluated from the biological production

    Författare :Micael Runnström; Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; marklära; geomorfologi; Fysisk geografi; climatology; kartografi; klimatologi; cartography; pedology; desertification; China; GPP; Mu Us; LUE-model; overgrazing; Physical geography; geomorphology;

    Sammanfattning : Land degradation is commonly perceived to be severe in many parts of semi arid China. The transition towards market economy since the 1978 reforms, have set marginal dry lands under added pressure in the form of increased livestock numbers and expanding cultivation on erosive soils. 2. 2. Sparse Array Architectures for Wireless Communication and Radar Applications

    Författare :Navid Amani; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; base station antenna BSA ; sparse array; grating lobe; multi-user MU MIMO; multipath channel; mutual coupling; direction-of-arrival DOA estimation; MIMO radar; 5G; network theory;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on sparse array architectures for the next generation of wireless communication, known as fifth-generation (5G), and automotive radar direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation. For both applications, array spatial resolution plays a critical role to better distinguish multiple users/sources. LÄS MER

  3. 3. The kinetic mechanism of microsomal glutathione transferase 1 (MGST1)

    Författare :Richard Svensson; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :Glutathione; glutathione transferase; enzyme mechanism; pre-steady state kinetics; steady state kinetics; membrane protein; xenobiotic metabolism.;

    Sammanfattning : Microsomal glutathione transferase I (MGST1) is a homotrimeric membrane-bound enzyme involved in detoxication of numerous toxic electrophilic compounds, e.g. halogenated alkenes and arenes, alpha, beta-unsaturated hydrocarbons and peroxides. MGST1 is expressed in large amounts in most organs, which speaks for an important role for this enzyme. LÄS MER
