11. Nanostructured Fuel Cell Catalysts
Sammanfattning : A long term challenge for society is to develop sustainable energy systems to reduce the dependence on fossil fuels and to decrease air pollution. This requires new alternatives regarding the supply of energy and increased efficiency of the future energy systems. Fuel cell technology is one such possible alternative. LÄS MER
12. Electrochemical Reactions in Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cells
Sammanfattning : The polymer electrolyte fuel cell converts the chemical energy in a fuel, e.g. hydrogen or methanol, and oxygen into electrical energy. The high efficiency and the possibility to use fuel from renewable sources make them attractive as energy converters in future sustainable energy systems. LÄS MER
13. Towards sustainable energy consumption : Electricity demand flexibility and household fuel choice
Sammanfattning : Paper [I] investigates household heterogeneity in valuing electricity contract attributes that include various load controls and information sharing to induce demand flexibility. Using a stated preference choice experiment conducted with Swedish households, this paper shows that, although a large proportion of households ask for substantial compensation, some households are willing to share their electricity consumption information and require relatively lower compensation to allow load controls. 14. Analysis of Deformation of Gas Diffusion Layers and the Impact on Performance of PEM Fuel Cells
Sammanfattning : Proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells have been promoted due to significant breakthroughs in various aspects and increasing public interests. The porous features of the gas diffusion layer (GDL) and the necessary assembly processes generate localized pressure forces on the channel/shoulder structure of the bi-polar plates (BPP). LÄS MER
15. Electrocatalyst materials for low-temperature hydrogen fuel cells
Sammanfattning : Fuel cells have emerged as an alternative to satisfy the need of energy systems with net-zero emissions. Although fuel cells date back to the 1800s, it is only during the last decades that research and development has enabled true commercialization. LÄS MER
