21. On the effect of nitrogen, hydrogen and cooling rate on the solidification and pore formation in Fe-base and Al-base alloys
Sammanfattning : Experiments on the production of porous metallic materials were performed on Fe-base and Al-base alloys. The method involves dissolution of gases in the liquid state and solidification at various cooling rates. The alloy compositions were selected to induce solidification of primary particles intended to control the pore distribution. LÄS MER
22. Characterization of Multifunctional Nanomaterials for Electronics Thermal Management and Sintering Applications
Sammanfattning : The science of manipulating materials at their nanoscale level is nowadays allowing endless possibilities to disrupt the current limitations on the conventional production processes and products. In electronics, the need for more capable thermal management strategies led to the exploration of advanced approaches and focus on new materials and allowed to push further the thermal dissipation capabilities of each generation of products. 23. Thermodynamic process modeling and simulation of a diaspore bauxite digestion process
Sammanfattning : Bauxite ores which originated from separate mines have different characteristics, i.e. each bauxite ore has its own individual specifications. Jajarm bauxite is of the diaspore-chamosite type and its alumina to silica mass ratio is lower than other diaspore ores. LÄS MER
24. Water Condensation and Freezing in the Atmosphere: Exploring Deliquescence and Ice Nucleation
Sammanfattning : Atmospheric aerosols play key roles in numerous atmospheric processes. They affect human health, are substrates and components for atmospheric chemistry, and via their contribution to clouds affect the water cycle and the energy balance of the planet. LÄS MER
25. High Temperature Oxidation and Corrosion of Ni-Based Superalloys for Industrial Gas Turbines
Sammanfattning : High temperature oxidation and corrosion of Ni-based superalloys used for blades in industrial gas turbines was studied using advanced high-resolution electron microscopy methods. Both coated and non-coated alloys were tested. LÄS MER
