    Sammanfattning : Changes in sectors and industries have brought new challenges to corporations as well as been important driving forces for the dynamics in strategy at the corporate level. With the dramatic developments of the 1990’s in mind, such as multilateral free-trade agreements, liberalization, privatization, sharp industry growth/decline, increased competition and globalization, in particular within the telecom and the construction industry, this study contributes to describing and understanding strategic change at the corporate level as well as changes in the division of work within value chains. 4. 29. Institutional changes in construction waste management

    Författare :Rickard Andersson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []

    Sammanfattning : The construction industry is a major contributor to both environmental degradation and resource depletion. The industry responsible for more than 30 percent of the total amount of waste generated within the European Union relies on a linear mode of production where waste is considered as materials end-of-life, resulting in excessive consumption of natural resources. 5. 30. Contractor Monitoring of Productivity and Sustainability in Building Refurbishment

    Författare :Ahmet Anil Sezer; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; sustainability; construction industry; measurement; refurbishment; productivity;

    Sammanfattning : The aging building stock in Europe and regulatory requirements to decrease energy consumption make sustainable refurbishment a valuable alternative to other construction activities. The construction industry appears to suffer from low productivity growth, and the construction productivity debate concludes that productivity measurement is difficult, not least due to changes in input and output qualities.
