Nonresponse issues when analysing business survey data

Sammanfattning: Data issues due to nonresponse or missing data arises often in company surveys or in firm data. Missing data and nonresponse causes bias. Another problem that causes bias is omitted variables. Accordingly, it will lead to wrong conclusions. The idea behind this licentiate thesis is to address these problems. The aim is to develop an insight into how common problems can be solved by transforming the data and changing the statistical method. There is no claim that the method suggested in the papers is always optimal. Rather, the goal of the papers is to give an awareness of problems that occurs in quantitative business research.
