21. Effects of high intensity focused ultrasound on the intervertebral disc
Sammanfattning : The purpose of this study was to study and try to optimise high intensity focused ultrasound treatment of the intervertebral disc. We demonstrated that it was possible to heat intervertebral discs with HIFU delivered by 50 or 5 mm diameter ultrasound transducers. LÄS MER
22. Fabrication and characterization of ZnO nanostructures for sensing and photonic device applications
Sammanfattning : Nanotechnology is an emerging inter-disciplinary paradigm which encompasses diverse fields of science and engineering converge at the nanoscale. This nanoscale science and nanostructure engineering have well demonstrated in the fabrication of sensors/transducers devices with faster response time and better sensitivity then the planer version of the sensor’s configurations. 23. Adhesive Wafer Bonding for Microelectronic and Microelectromechanical Systems
Sammanfattning : Semiconductor wafer bonding has been a subject of interestfor many years and a wide variety of wafer bonding techniqueshave been reported in literature. In adhesive wafer bondingorganic and inorganic adhesives are used as intermediatebonding material. LÄS MER
24. Ultrasonic Arrays for Sensing and Beamforming of Lamb Waves
Sammanfattning : Non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques are critical to ensure integrity and safety of engineered structures. Structural health monitoring (SHM) is considered as the next step in the field enabling continuous monitoring of structures. LÄS MER
25. Ultrasound Communication through Thin Plates: Understanding the Channel
Sammanfattning : Ultrasound, composed of sound waves with frequencies above the human audible range, has become widely used in various technological fields for digital communications. In the past, acoustic and ultrasonic waves were employed in military and commercial un-derwater wireless communication systems due to their superior performance compared to electromagnetic waves.
