    Sammanfattning : Med utgångspunkt i didaktik och bildningsteoretiska perspektiv är syftet med denna avhandling att undersöka och analysera ämnesövergripande undervisning om epoktypiska samhällsfrågor i grundskolan för att utveckla kunskap om undervisningens didaktiska möjligheter och utmaningar.Avhandlingen är en sammanläggning och består av tre ingående texter: en licentiatuppsats om samhällskunskapsämnet i ämnesintegrerad undervisning som genomfördes 2012–2014 samt två artiklar från forskningsprojektet ”Att utveckla undervisning i samhällsfrågor: om didaktiska val i SO-ämnena i grundskolans mellanår 4-6” som genomfördes 2017–2022.     Sammanfattning : The objectives of the study were (1) to contribute to development of a theoretical basis for teaching violence prevention and conflict resolution, connecting the micro (interpersonal and intergroup) and macro (national, international and transnational) levels; and (2) to contribute to development of teaching methods with the aim of giving children skills in handling conflicts constructively.     Sammanfattning : Maternal diabetes mellitus (DM) during pregnancy has detrimental health impacts on both the mother and fetus, and include increased risks of cardiac malformations, cesarean section (CS), and asphyxia. The aim of the thesis was to investigate short and long term cardiac effects after fetal exposure to DM, investigate the ability of a 5 minute Apgar score as a marker for obstetrical care, investigate the association between mode of delivery in diabetic pregnancies and a low 5 minute Apgar score, and to investigate the association between offspring birth weight and maternal risk of future DM.
