    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to describe surname patterns and changes of surname among the Sami of Sweden. It presents the results of three studies. The first is a survey of the present-day stock of surnames (family names) among the Sami community, based on the 2005 electoral register for the Swedish Sami Parliament. LÄS MER

This study deals with the names among Finnish speaking lutheran and orthodox Ingrian refugees from the former Soviet Union.     Sammanfattning : The dissertation consists of five self-contained essays dealing with analytical investigations, simulation studies, and demographic applications of statistical models and associated methods for the analysis of the so-called survival data.Our analytical results in the first paper indicate that models for grouped survival data which, depending on the application, are labeled different names, practically, make use of the same method in the process of parameter estimation and inference. The 19th century Swedish army was composed of three parts : hired troops , the conscripts and above all the ”indelta armén”. Indelta armén was unique in the world because of its organizational form.
