1. Stroke in geriatric patients - Aspects of depression, cognition and motor activity
Sammanfattning : Six depression rating scales, GDS, Zung, CES-D, CPRS-D and Cornell, were compared in 40 patients. The validity was good for all scales except for the Cornell scale. A comprehensive investigation was done in 116 elderly stroke patients. There was no difference in prevalence and severity of post-stroke depression in relation to side of lesion. LÄS MER

Sammanfattning : The primary aim of this investigation was to evaluate a seven-weekmultidisciplinary rehabilitation programme, with emphasis onmusculoskeletal disorders, for working-age people, by assessments at thestart and end of the rehabilitation programme, and at follow-upexaminations 6, 12 and 24 months after completion of the programme. 5. Lumbar fusion for chronic low-back pain in isthmic spondylolisthesis
Sammanfattning : Manifestation of isthmic spondylolisthesis (IS), with a prevalence of 5% in the general population, varies from totally asymptomatic to severe disability. Although fusion has positive short-term effects, the long-term outcome of such treatment, as well as possible accelerated degeneration of adjacent segment discs (ASD) and its clinical significance, are unknown.
