  1. 1. Var(a) snäll och gilla : Medforskning med unga om identitet och sociala medier

    Författare :Amira Sofie Sandin; Helena Francke; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Identity; social media; Goffman; impression management; participatory research; Freire; co-researcher; participation; young people; youth.; Identitet; sociala medier; Goffman; intrycksstyrning; medforskning; Freire; medforskare; delaktighet; unga; ungdomar; Library and Information Science; Biblioteks- och informationsvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Denna avhandling utforskar hur unga personer resonerar om och analyserar sin användning av sociala medier för att uttrycka identitet. Tretton 16-åringar med invandrarbakgrund bidrog som medforskare till att forma forskningens riktning och innehåll. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Bright Lights: Innovative Micro- and Nano-Patterning for Sensing and Tissue Engineering

    Författare :Alessandro Enrico; Göran Stemme; Frank Niklaus; Anna Herland; Jürgen Brugger; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Micro-electromechanical systems MEMS ; nanotechnology; nanowires; microfabrication; tissue engineering; crack-lithography; direct writing; femtosecond lasers; two-photon polymerization; 3D micromachining; cavitation molding; scalable optical patterning; 2D materials; surface structuring; bacterial-surface interaction.; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Light is the primary source of energy on our planet and has been a significant driver in the evolution of human society and technology. Light finds applications in two-dimensional (2D) photolithography and three-dimensional (3D) printing, where a pattern is transferred to a material of interest by ultraviolet (UV) light exposure, and in laser scribing and cutting, where high power lasers are used to pattern the surface of objects or cut through the bulk of the material of interest. 3. 3. Collagen VI - Molecular Assembly and Interactions

    Författare :Charlotte Wiberg; Institutionen för experimentell medicinsk vetenskap; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Clinical biology; extracellular matrix; glycosaminoglycan; proteoglycan; collagen; biglycan; decorin; Klinisk biologi;

    Sammanfattning : The extracellular matrix plays an integral role in tissue remodeling and development and it defines the different mechanical properties of a variety of connective tissues. Its complexity in composition and the details in organization has only been partly elucidated. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Molecular and clinical studies of cartilage and bone macromolecules in arthritis

    Författare :Bengt Månsson; Reumatologi och molekylär skelettbiologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Skeleton; Prognosis; Tissue damage; Bone markers; Cartilage markers; Rheumatoid arthritis; Psoriatic arthritis; muscle system; rheumatology locomotion; Skelett; muskelsystem; reumatologi;

    Sammanfattning : The pathogenesis of inflammatory arthritides include synovial inflammation and joint tissue destruction. Tissue destruction has traditionally been regarded a consequence of inflammation, but recent observations indicate that the processes are not always closely linked and may proceed uncoupled. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Immuno-modulatory functions of CD1d-restricted natural killer T cells

    Författare :Emma Berntman; Immunologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; transplantation; Immunologi; serologi; serology; Immunology; Medicin människa och djur ; Medicine human and vertebrates ; microarray; gene expression signature; infection; Salmonella; CD1d; NKT cells;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on a small population of non-conventional T lymphocytes, called natural killer T (NKT) cells. NKT cells have many unique features; such as recognition of glycolipids presented by CD1d, expression of NK receptors and rapid production of large amounts of cytokines, such as IL-4 and IFN-gamma,?upon activation.
