  1. 1. Med kroppen som illustration : Hur förskolebarn prat-skapar naturvetenskap med hjälp av multimodala och kroppsförankrade förklaringar

    Författare :Anneli Bergnell; Lisbeth Åberg-Bengtsson; Ann-Katrin Svensson; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; preschool science education multimodality the concepts of stability; evaporation and water-cycle of the world talking science embodied illustrations förskolan naturvetenskap multimodala och kroppsförankrade illustrationer stabilitet; avdunstning; vattnets kretslopp prat-skapa naturvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to combine three research areas, namely preschool, science and illustrations, in order to examine (a) how modes are combined when references to the body are made or the body as such are used to explain scientific concepts and phenomena in preschool science education, and (b) how do the children handle, explore, discuss and talk science when approaching multimodally illustrated scientific contents in the studied activities. Four studies were conducted, all of which were built on empirically generated questions and were theoretically grounded in cultural-historical and multimodal perspectives. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Tracing water transport pathways in the coupled ocean-atmosphere system

    Författare :Dipanjan Dey; Kristofer Döös; Aitor Aldama Campino; David Ferreira; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Hydrological cycle; inter-ocean atmospheric water transport; water-mass conservation; atmospheric water trajectories; overturning water-mass stream functions; atmosfärvetenskap och oceanografi; Atmospheric Sciences and Oceanography;

    Sammanfattning : Water is the most precious substance on the Earth and thus it is important to know how it moves around and is recycled.This knowledge will be useful to formulate educated future strategies about water usage in society and also to understand the near-surface salinity contrasts in the world ocean. 3. 3. Exploring gene expression responses of marine bacteria to environmental factors

    Författare :Christofer Osbeck; Jarone Pinhassi; Michael Cunliffe; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Baltic Sea; dissolved organic matter; model bacteria; ocean acidification; organic pollutants; river loadings; transcriptomics; Mikrobiologi; Microbiology;

    Sammanfattning : Bacterioplankton are abundant in marine ecosystems, where they as “masters of transformation” of dissolved organic matter (DOM) are important for energy fluxes and biogeochemical cycles. However, the performance of bacteria in a changing marine environment influenced by anthropogenic activities is poorly understood. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Hydrogen diffusion and storage mechanisms in diopside

    Författare :Rickard Sundvall; Henrik Skogby; Alasdair Skelton; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mineralogy; Mineralvetenskap; mineralogi; petrologi och geokemi; Mineralogy; Petrology and Geochemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Hydrogen is a widespread trace element in many nominally anhydrous minerals (minerals without water or hydroxyl ions in their structural formula) from the Earth's crust and mantle. The hydrogen is normally incorporated in the form of hydroxyl ions and can be regarded as structurally bound water. LÄS MER
