1. The ubiquitous signal processing : Applications to communications, spectral analysis and array processing
Sammanfattning : This dissertation is concerned with statistical signal processing and its applications. The thesis consists of three parts: I) applications to wireless communications, II) applications to spectral analysis and III) applications to array processing. LÄS MER
2. Space-Time Processing Applications for Wireless Communications
Sammanfattning : Wireless mobile communication networks are rapidly growing at an incredible rate around the world and a number of improved and emerging technologies are seen to be critical to the improved economics and performance of these networks. The technical revolution and continuing growth of mobile radio communication systems has been made possible by extraordinary advances in the related fields of digital computing, high-speed circuit technology, the Internet and, of course, digital signal processing. 3. Identification of viscoelastic materials and continuous-time stochastic systems
Sammanfattning : Two system identification problems, identification of viscoelastic material properties and identification of continuous-time stochastic systems, are considered in the thesis. The viscoelastic material properties are characterised by the frequency-dependent complex modulus. LÄS MER
4. Designing Space-Time Codes Using Orthogonal Designs
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with coding schemes for systems with multiple transmit antennas. The problem of finding optimal transmission schemes for the case when the transmitter knows the channel and the case when the transmitter does not know the channel are considered. LÄS MER
5. Keeping track of time : Daily time management, participation, and time-related interventions for children, adolescents, and young adults with neurodevelopmental disorders
Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to investigate daily time management (DTM) and time-related interventions aiming to enhance participation in everyday activities among school-age children and young adults with neurodevelopmental disorders. In study I, experiences of participation when using time assistive devices (TADs) in daily activities were investigated from the perspective of young adults (aged 17–37) with intellectual disabilities (ID) (n = 9), using semi structured interviews.
