31. On the Pricing of Path-Dependent Options and Related Problems
Sammanfattning : The thesis considers the pricing of European path-dependent options in a multi-dimensional Black-Scholes model. The thesis focuses mainly on the three different classes of path-dependent options: barrier, Asian, and lookback options. The thesis consists of eight chapters. LÄS MER
32. On the formation of small molecules by radiative association
Sammanfattning : This thesis is devoted to the theoretical investigation of radiative association, which is one of the processes contributing to formation of molecules in the interstellar medium. The formation of the CN, SiN, SiP and CO molecules through radiative association of the corresponding atoms in their ground electronic states is studied by the means of classical and quantum dynamical calculations. 33. Sorption and weathering properties of naturally occurring chlorites
Sammanfattning : Chlorite is a ferrous silicate mineral occurring as afracture filling mineral in the Swedish granite bedrock thatsurrounds the area of the candidate Swedish geologicalrepositories for nuclear waste. To investigate the importance of chlorites as a naturalbarrier for radionuclide migration sorption of Ni(II) onto anatural chlorite was chosen as the studied system. LÄS MER
34. On modelling of slope stability in sensitive clay
Sammanfattning : The stability of natural slopes is a global problem, with the number of landslides and the associated socioeconomic losses increasing, as a result of the global trend of urbanisation, deforestation and changed weather patterns. The available methods for identifying potential failure modes and assessing the stability, however, overly simplify the modelled soil behaviour within a slope, which might lead to unnecessary mitigation measures or non-conservative results. 35. Concrete Structures Subjected to Fragment Impacts
Sammanfattning : As concrete is commonly used for protective structures, how a blast wave and fragment impacts from an explosion affect the concrete is an important issue. Concrete subjected to explosive loading responds very differently from statically loaded structures. LÄS MER
