6. Estimation of the reliability of systems described by the Daniels Load-Sharing Model
Sammanfattning : We consider the problem of estimating the failure stresses of bundles (i.e. the tensile forces that destroy the bundles), constructed of several statisti-cally similar fibres, given a particular kind of censored data. LÄS MER
7. System Studies and Simulations of Distributed Photovoltaics in Sweden
Sammanfattning : Grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) capacity is increasing worldwide, mainly due to extensive subsidy schemes for renewable electricity generation. A majority of newly installed systems are distributed small-scale systems located in distribution grids, often at residential customers. LÄS MER
8. Towards sustainable energy consumption : Electricity demand flexibility and household fuel choice
Sammanfattning : Paper [I] investigates household heterogeneity in valuing electricity contract attributes that include various load controls and information sharing to induce demand flexibility. Using a stated preference choice experiment conducted with Swedish households, this paper shows that, although a large proportion of households ask for substantial compensation, some households are willing to share their electricity consumption information and require relatively lower compensation to allow load controls. 9. Thermal modelling and evaluation of borehole heat transfer
Sammanfattning : The use of ground source heat pump systems to provide heating and cooling inbuildings has increased greatly in the last decade or so. These systems have a highpotential for energy efficiency, which has environmental and economicadvantages. LÄS MER
10. Studying ageing: experiences, description, variation, prediction and explanation
Sammanfattning : The study follows a line of experiences, description, variation, prediction and explanation concerning ageing, health promotion and longevity. The experiences of aging were acquired during my studies of conversations, participation in longitudinal population studies in Gothenburg, and working with the Centre for Development of Home help services.
