  1. 1. Biomimetic Reactions : Water Oxidation and Aerobic Oxidation

    Författare :Lien-Hoa Tran; Björn Åkermark; Nina Kann; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Cobalt II salophen; oxygen-activating catalyst; hybrid; manganese complex; epoxidation; water oxidation.; Organic chemistry; Organisk kemi; organisk kemi; Organic Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals mainly with two oxidation reactions: water oxidation and aerobic oxidation, both of which have been applied in a biomimetic fashion. In the former reaction molecular oxygen is generated whereas in the latter it was used as terminal oxidant in oxidation reactions. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Studies of Biomimtic Oxidations and Racemizations

    Författare :Gábor Csjernyik; Jan-Erling Bäckvall; Serafino Gladiali; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; oxidation of alcohols; ruthenium; porphyrin; racemization;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with studies of ruthenium-catalyzed hydrogen transfer reactions for oxidations and racemization.Through optimisation of the substrate-selective redox catalyst, the electron and proton transfer mediator (a benzoquinone derivative), and the oxygen-activating metal macrocycle a highly efficient biomimetic oxidation of secondary alcohols was obtained. 3. 3. Molecular oxygen and hydrogen peroxide as mild oxidants in catalytic oxidations : Applications to palladium and osmium catalysis

    Författare :Katarina Bergstad; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Chemistry; Kemi; Chemistry; Kemi; organisk kemi; Organic Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis the use of molecular oxygen and hydrogen peroxide as mild oxidants in transition metal-catalyzed oxidations of organic substrates is discussed. The thesis is divided into three parts.In the first part the use of heteropolyacids as robust oxygen-activating agents for aerobic reoxidation of zerovalent palladium is described. LÄS MER
