11. On Design and Analysis of a Novel Transverse Flux Generator for Direct-driven Wind Application
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the analysis of a permanent magnet synchronous generator suited for direct-drivenwind turbines inmegawatt class. The higher specific torque and power density of a transverse flux permanent magnet machine in comparison to conventional radial-flux machines make it a promising solution for direct-driven wind turbine generators. 12. Design, Modelling and Control of Electrical Machines - With Applications to Iron-powder Machines and Acoustic Noise
Sammanfattning : This thesis consists of two parts, the first dealing with the design of iron-powder synchronous machines, and the second with the analysis and prediction of the acoustic noise in electrical machines. In Part I, a 1.6 kW electrically magnetized claw-pole machine with magnetically conducting end-plates has been analyzed and a prototype tested. LÄS MER
13. Climatic conditions inside nuclear reactor containments - Monitoring campaign
Sammanfattning : The reactor containment is one of the most important buildings at a nuclear power plant. In case of an accident the containment wall is the final protection against radioactive leakage to the surrounding environment. A reactor containment contains different types of concrete structures. 14. Analysis of a novel Transversal Flux Machine with a tubular cross-section for Free Piston Energy Converter application
Sammanfattning : Constantly growing need for oil, all over the world, has caused oil price to rise rapidly during the last decade. High oil prices have made fuel economy as one of the most important factors when consumers are buying their cars today. LÄS MER
15. Mechanisms for leukocyte-mediated adjustment of endothelial barrier function
Sammanfattning : Extravasation of polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMN) and associated plasma exsudation are key events in the inflammatory process. The mechanism by which activated PMN may induce increased vascular permeability for macromolecules is not fully understood but crucially dependent on an intact leukocytic beta2 integrin (CD11/CD18) adhesion receptor function.
