  1. 26. Wave Loads on Offshore Wind Power Plants

    Författare :Jenny Trumars; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ocean engineering; shallow water; fatigue; Non-linear waves; wave load; wind energy converter; perturbation theory;

    Sammanfattning : The thesis gives a short introduction to waves and discusses the problem with non-linear waves in shallow water and how they effect an offshore wind energy converter. The focus is on the realisation of non-linear waves in the time domain from short-term statistics in the form of a variance density spectrum of the wave elevation. LÄS MER

  2. 27. Electric Energy Conversion Systems : Wave Energy and Hydropower

    Författare :Karin Thorburn; Mats Leijon; Petra Lundström; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Engineering physics; Ocean wave power; renewable energy; linear generator; farm simulation; Teknisk fysik;

    Sammanfattning : Electric energy conversion is an important issue in today's society as our daily lives largely depend on the supplies of energy. Two energy sources are studied for conversion in the present thesis, ocean waves and hydropower. The work focuses on the generator and the transmission of its output to the electric grid. LÄS MER
