  2. 37. Role of immune mediators in metabolic syndrome and atherosclerosis

    Författare :Daniela Strodthoff; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Obesity is increasingly becoming a problem worldwide. Both location and metabolic activity of visceral and subcutaneous white adipose tissue (WAT) differ. Sammanfattning : Turner Syndrome is a common chromosomal disorder and affects approximately one in every 2000 newborn girl. 5. 40. Physiological and morphological aspects of the glomerular barrier in health and disease. Results based on experimental studies in the rat

    Författare :Clara Hjalmarsson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :glomerular permeability; isolated perfused kidney; charge; endothelial surface layer; glycocalyx; electron microscopy; orosomucoid; nephrotic syndrome; proteinuria;

    Sammanfattning : Tremendous amounts of fluid are filtered every day through the kidneys. The anastomosing capillary loops surrounded by Bowman s capsule, forming the glomerulus, function in accordance with the interplay between the hydrostatic and the colloid osmotic pressure. The result of the action of these mechanisms is the production of primary urine. LÄS MER
