21. Building Blocks for Low-Voltage Analog-to-Digital Interfaces
Sammanfattning : In today’s system-on-chip (SoC) implementations, power consumption is a key performance specification. The proliferation of mobile communication devices and distributed wireless sensor networks has necessitated the development of power-efficient analog, radio-frequency (RF), and digital integrated circuits. 22. Navigation and Mapping for Aerial Vehicles Based on Inertial and Imaging Sensors
Sammanfattning : Small and medium sized Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) are today used in military missions, and will in the future find many new application areas such as surveillance for exploration and security. To enable all these foreseen applications, the UAV's have to be cheap and of low weight, which restrict the sensors that can be used for navigation and surveillance. LÄS MER
23. Energy-Efficient Data Converters for Low-Power Sensors
Sammanfattning : Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are employed in many applications, such as for monitoring bio-potential signals and environmental information. These applications require high-resolution (> 12-bit) analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) at low-sampling rates (several kS/s). LÄS MER
24. Low-Voltage Analog-to-Digital Converters and Mixed-Signal Interfaces
Sammanfattning : Analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) are crucial blocks which form the interface between the physical world and the digital domain. ADCs are indispensable in numerous applications such as wireless sensor networks (WSNs), wireless/wireline communication receivers and data acquisition systems. LÄS MER
25. Design, Synthesis, and Structure-Activity Relationships Analysis of Potential Inhibitors of the Serine Protease Thrombin and the Malarial Aspartic Proteases Plasmepsin I and II
Sammanfattning : The design, synthesis, and structure-activity relationships analysis of some potential protease inhibitors are outlined in this thesis. In particular, the serine protease thrombin and the malarial aspartic proteases plasmepsin I and II (Plm I and II) are described in regard to the roles they play in living organisms, and that is followed by discussions concerning the design, synthesis, and biological test results of inhibitors of these enzymes.
