1. Analytical aspects on luminol chemiluminescence and some applications in clinical chemistry and immunology
Sammanfattning : In order to use the protohematin catalyzed chemiluminescent oxidation of luminol for sensitive determination of substances of interest in clinical chemistry, the kinetics and mechanism of the reaction were studied. The results were used to design optimized reaction conditions for assays of serum hemoglobin, serum albumin, antibody against serum albumin, and serum myoglobin. LÄS MER
2. Distributed Clocking and Clock Generation in Digital CMOS SoC ASICs
Sammanfattning : With shrinking technologies and higher clock rates comes the possibility to transform multi chip implementations to a single System on Chip (SoC). Implementing clock distribution and limiting the power consumption becomes increasingly troublesome with increased clock rate and chip area. LÄS MER
3. Understanding and Supporting Quality Requirements Engineering in Software-intensive Product Development
Sammanfattning : [Background] Quality requirements deal with how well a product should perform the intended functionality. Failure to meet essential quality requirements can result in customer dissatisfaction, unusable products, or extra costs. LÄS MER
4. lmproving diagnosis of central nervous system tumours using genetic and epigenetic tools
Sammanfattning : Brain tumor diagnostics has traditionally been based on histopathology stains. The introduction of immunohistochemistry stains resulted in improved ability to classify these often devastating tumors. The understanding of molecular markers in central nervous system tumors has improved substantially in recent decades. LÄS MER
5. Characterization of artificial and biological lipid vesicles using TIRF and SPR
Sammanfattning : Synthetic lipid vesicles serve as important mimics of cells and the natural membranes that they are enclosed by. As such they are frequently used as simplified models of the highly complex cell membrane to aid in-depth physicochemical and biological characterization of this essential biological structure.
