  1. 1. Using Light to Regulate the Activity of RET Kinase: Design, synthesis and evaluation of photoswitchable DFG-out RET kinase inhibitors

    Författare :Yongjin Xu; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; RET kinase; kinase inhibitor; DFG-out; photoparmacology; azoheteroarene; Buchwald-Hartwig coupling; quinoline; 7-azaindole;

    Sammanfattning : Protein kinases are essential for signal transduction and regulate most cellular processes, such as metabolism, membrane transport, motility, and cell cycle. Although they play a critical role in cells and have a strong association with diseases, details of their physiologic and pathologic mechanisms remain at least partially unclear, especially the spatiotemporal dynamics of the signalling. 2. 2. Clinical and Biological Patterns in Soft Tissue Sarcoma

    Författare :Emelie Styring; Lund Ortopedi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; angiosarcoma; radiation-associated sarcoma; irradiated; RET; KIT; MYC.;

    Sammanfattning : Soft tissue sarcomas (STSs) are rare malignant tumors, of which 3/4 are high-grade and 1/3 metastasize. For optimal management, STSs should be treated at multidisciplinary sarcoma centers. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Deciphering ret signalling in cell biology and development

    Författare :Moritz Lübke; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : The rearranged during transformation (RET) tyrosine kinase regulates a plethora of biological processes such as cell survival, proliferation and migration and is essential for the normal development of several organs such as the sensory, enteric and sympathetic nervous systems and the kidneys. After RET activation by its ligands several intracellular tyrosine residues are phosphorylated and serve as binding sites for adaptor proteins that activate different downstream signalling pathways. 4. 4. Rewiring ret : PTB-adaptor regulated signaling and cell biology

    Författare :T Kalle Lundgren; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : The Ret receptor belongs to a group of transmembrane tyrosine kinase receptors that serve to transduce environmental signals into cellular responses. Upon extracellular ligand activation the receptors dimerize and their structural conformation is altered into one that allows for interaction with proteins in the cell cytosol. LÄS MER

  5. 5. All-Photonic Control of Biorelevant Processes using Molecular Photoswitches and Caged Compounds

    Författare :Jesper Nilsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; dithienylethene; azobenzene; drug release; kinase inhibitor; spiropyran; caged compound; live cell; spectroscopy; o-nitrobenzyl; photoswitch;

    Sammanfattning : The development of light-controlled molecular tools for in situ regulation of biological activity holds great promise e.g. for resolving dynamic aspects of cellular signal transduction and to overcome inherent pharmaceutic limitations such as poor drug selectivity. LÄS MER
