  1. 1. Characterization of Process-related Defects in Silicon Carbide by Electron Microscopy

    Författare :Per O. Å. Persson; Pirouz Pirouz; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : Silicon carbide (SiC) is a semiconducting material, which provides advantages compared to other available semiconducting materials. Attractive properties of SiC are the wide bandgap (2.2-3.3 eV), high electric breakdown field (3x106 Vcm-1), high thermal conductivity (5 Wcm-1 K-1) and the chemical stabi!ity. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Solute Transport in Fractured Rocks : The Effect of Stagnant Water Zones and Velocity Dispersion

    Författare :Pirouz Shahkarami; Longcheng Liu; Ivars Neretnieks; Luis Moreno; Klaus-Peter Kröhn; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Channel network concept; radionuclide transport; stagnant water zones; velocity dispersion; modeling and simulation; Chemical Engineering; Kemiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The focus of this thesis is on the development of new models to improve our understanding of radionuclide transport in the repository “far-field” in fractured rocks. The proposed models contribute to the channel network concept and describe the recently developed models with stagnant water zones (STWZs) and channels with variable aperture allowing to consider their possible impacts on the overall transport of radionuclides in fractured rocks. 3. 3. Modular Enzyme-Responsive Polysaccharide-Based Hydrogels for Biofabrication

    Författare :Sajjad Naeimipour; Daniel Aili; Robert Selegård; Alireza Dolatshahi-Pirouz; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; 3D cell-culture; Bioprinting; Alginate; Hyaluronan; Cancer model;

    Sammanfattning : Engineered human tissue and disease models can decrease the cost and time of developing new drugs and treatments, facilitate personalized medicine, and eliminate the need for animal models that poorly represent the human body and are ethically problematic. However, the current conventional cell expansion methods using 2D culture flasks cannot enable the development of such complex multi-cellular 3D models. LÄS MER
