  1. 16. Long-term survival and survivorship in non-Hodgkin lymphoma patients in Sweden

    Författare :Sara Ekberg; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) is one of the top ten most common cancer types in Sweden. Although sometimes referred to as one disease, NHL is truly an umbrella term representing a heterogeneous group of diseases with varying clinical course and prognosis. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Soluble intercellular and vascular cell adhesion molecules-1 in lymphoid neoplasms : A clinical and prognostic study of Hodgkin's disease, non-Hodgkin's lymphomas and chronic B-lymphocytic leukaemia

    Författare :Ilse Christiansen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Oncology; Hodgkin s disease; non-Hodgkin s lymphomas; chronic lymphocytic leukaemia; sICAM-1; sVCAM-1; prognostic markers; VCAM-1; ICAM-1; Hodgkin cell lines; Onkologi; Oncology; Onkologi; Clinical Immunology; klinisk immunologi;

    Sammanfattning : The interaction of soluble adhesion molecules with adhesion ligands expressed by immunological cells interfere with the cell-cell adhesion essential for the signal transductions that initiate immunological responses. Preliminary data suggest that soluble adhesion molecules also promote angiogenesis. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and cancer : epidemiological and immunohistochemical studies on SLE patients with malignant lymphoma or myeloid leukaemia

    Författare :Björn Lövström; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Malignancy as a cause of death was reported in occasional SLE patients, but the question whether patients with SLE have an increased risk of developing cancer compared to the general population has remained unanswered. To address this question, we created a national Swedish SLE cohort from the Hospital Discharge Register where all patients with an SLE diagnosis between 1964 and 1994 were included. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Rituximab-induced neutropenia : clinical and patophysiological studies

    Författare :Daniel Tesfa; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Rituximab is a monoclonal antibody directed against the CD20 antigen on normal and neoplastic B-lymphocytes. It was originally developed for treatment of lymphomas as a targeted therapy against CD20 positive non-Hodgkin lymphomas (NHL). More recently, its use has expanded into patients with rheumatic diseases. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Hodgkin Lymphoma : Studies of Advanced Stages, Relapses and the Relation to Non-Hodgkin Lymphomas

    Sammanfattning : The relationship between Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) and non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) is not entirely elucidated and a clonal relation may be present more often than previously believed. Mechanisms of tumour progression and resistance to therapy are poorly understood.Between 1974 and 1994 all individuals in Sweden with both HL and NHL were identified. LÄS MER
