16. Charged Higgs Bosons at the ATLAS Experiment and Beyond
Sammanfattning : In the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN, direct searches for the elusive Higgs boson will be conducted, as well as for physics beyond the Standard Model. The charged Higgs boson (H±) is interesting both as a part of the Higgs sector, and as a clear sign of new physics. LÄS MER
17. Search for beyond Standard Model physics with same-sign dileptons
Sammanfattning : An introduction into the theory and experimental background of particle physics and the ATLAS detector is given. The transition radiation tracker (TRT) which is vital to the particle tracking and identification is then described giving particular creedence to the calibration. The automation of this calibration is explained. LÄS MER
18. Search for Charginos and Sleptons in ATLAS and Identification of Pile-up with the Tile Calorimeter
Sammanfattning : The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) located at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) is the most powerful particle accelerator in the world in terms of collision energy and luminosity. This thesis presents a search for supersymmetric particles in proton-proton collision data recorded by the ATLAS experiment. LÄS MER
19. Searches for dark matter in association with top quarks with the ATLAS experiment
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a search for dark matter with the ATLAS experiment using 139 fb−1 of pp collision data at √s = 13 TeV delivered by the LHC from 2015 to 2018. The search targets a simplified model where a spin-0 scalar or pseudoscalar mediator particle, decaying to a pair of dark matter particles, is produced in association with a pair of top quarks. 20. Search for Dark Matter and Extra Dimensions in Monojet Final States with the ATLAS Experiment
Sammanfattning : The CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is the most powerful particle ac- celerator ever built, in terms of luminosity and center-of-mass energy of the collisions. This thesis presents a search for Dark Matter and Extra Dimen- sions in the proton-proton collisions as recorded by the ATLAS detector. LÄS MER
