  1. 31. Tissue destruction in arthritis : experimental studies

    Författare :Esbjörn Larsson; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Destruction of joint cartilage and bone is one of the most serious consequences of chronic arthritis. Clinically, the standard assessment of joint destruction is performed by radiography. LÄS MER

  2. 32. Dynamic analysis of a novel electromagnetic transducer for hybrid vehicle and experimental verification

    Författare :Sylvain Chatelet; Chandur Sadarangani; Jorma Luomi; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Electrical Machines and Drives; Electrical engineering; Elektroteknik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents the results of the work carried out on the dynamic analysis and experimental performance measurements of a novel concept of electromagnetic system for hybrid vehicle powertrains. The main focus of this work is to present how this novel electromagnetic system can be operated in a hybrid vehicle and to show how a prototype of this system has succesfully been operated in a laboratory set-up. 3. 33. Assessment of Experimental, Computational, and Combined EFD/CFD Methods for Ship Performance Prediction

    Författare :Kadir Burak Korkmaz; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; numerical friction line; form factor; CFD; measurement uncertainty; power prediction; EFD; verification and validation; Combined CFD EFD Methods;

    Sammanfattning : In today’s highly competitive market, alongside increasingly stringent regulatory requirements, the precise prediction of ship performance has assumed paramount importance for both design verification and operational evaluations. This thesis addresses the need for a comprehensive assessment of Experimental Fluid Dynamics (EFD), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and their combination to enhance the accuracy of performance predictions. 4. 34. CFD Predictions Including Verification and Validation of Hydrodynamic Forces and Moments on Ships in Restricted Waters

    Författare :Lu Zou; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; RANS; deep water; shallow water; ship-to-ship interaction; bank effects; tanker hulls; canal; verification and validation; drift motion; hydrodynamic forces and moments;

    Sammanfattning : The evaluation of ship manoeuvrability is of significance at the initial design stage, as inappropriate manoeuvring performance may result in unstable ship motion, difficulties in steering and even marine accidents. Restricted waters, with the presence of solid boundaries of the flow field, such as a shallow seabed below the hull, a side bank in the vicinity of the hull or another hull nearby, complicate the flow field and introduce an influence on hydrodynamic forces and moments acting on the hull.
