11. Condition Monitoring of Stator Windings with a Networked Electric Drive
Sammanfattning : Electric drives are widely used in industry, where they are also part of the plant communication architecture. This architecture is challenged by the Industry 4.0 initiative that aims to make the devices in industrial plants more interconnected and with additional functionalities. LÄS MER
12. Towards Low-Voltage, High-Current : A pioneering drive concept for battery electric vehicles
Sammanfattning : The first electric low-voltage vehicles were constructed in the mid-19th century, but by the early 20th century they were progressively replacedby successors with internal combustion engines. As the consequences ofusing fossil fuels are better understood, our society is now transitioning back. LÄS MER
13. Electrical Characterization of Partial Discharge Resistant Enamel Insulation
Sammanfattning : Adjustable speed drives for rotating machines have become increasingly popular as they provide possibilities of smooth and accurate process control as well as for energy savings. In such systems, due to the fact that the voltage applied at terminals of motor windings is no longer purely sinusoidal but characterized by a high content of harmonics, the appearing electrical and thermal stresses yield premature failures of the winding insulation, mainly because of an increased partial discharge (PD) activity. 14. Analysis of Losses in Inverter-fed Synchronous Machines with Salient-pole Solid Rotors
Sammanfattning : The work that is presented here considers loss analysis of inverter-fed field-excited synchronous machines. The project was initiated, as a co-operation between industrial partners and KTH, with the aim of providing knowledge about the losses that take place in inverter-fed large scale synchronous machines. 15. Automation and traction control of articulated vehicles
Sammanfattning : Articulated machines such as load-haul-dump machines, wheel loaders and haulers operate in many different environments and driving conditions. In particular they need to be able to perform well with road conditions and loads that can change drastically, setting hard requirements on performances and robustness. LÄS MER
