  1. 11. On laser Doppler flowmetry : methods and microvascular applications

    Författare :Torsten Tenland; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Sammanfattning : A laser Doppler flowmeter for non-invasive microcirculatory blood flow studies has been developed. The tissue under study is illuminated by laser light (helium-neon laser, output power 2 mW) via an optical fibre and the Doppler shift oflight scattered in moving red cells is analysed. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Laser doppler tissue flowmetry : fiberoptic methods in microvascular research

    Författare :Göran Salerud; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Sammanfattning : Laser Doppler flowmetry (LDF) constitutes a method for measuring the flux of blood cells in the microcirculatory bed. Photons are scattered in the moving blood cells, where they undergo a frequency shift according to the Doppler principle. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Echocardiography/Doppler for the evaluation of coronary artery function, left ventricular function and the relationship between early diastolic and systolic function

    Författare :Reidar Winter; Malmö Institutionen för kliniska vetenskaper; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; coronary flow reserve; contrast echocardiography; early diastolic downward velocity; flow propagation velocity; colour M-mode; diastolic function; Echocardiography; Doppler; Kardiovaskulära systemet; Cardiovascular system;

    Sammanfattning : Two specific areas of development in echocardiography are assessment of left ventricular (LV) diastolic function and myocardial ischemia. This thesis describes echocardiographic methodology in these two areas. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Testing of Doppler Ultrasound Systems

    Författare :Andrew Walker; Per Ask; Ivar Ringqvist; Bengt Wranne; Birger Wandt; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : Blood and tissue velocities are measured and analyzed in cardiac, vascular, and other applications of diagnostic ultrasound. Errors in system performance might give invalid measurements.We developed two moving string test targets and a rotating cylinder phantom (Doppler phantoms) to characterize Doppler ultrasound systems.
